Community coastal adaptation action plan
Building on the information from the previous stages, it is helpful to set out a time frame for community adaptation actions and what could happen:
- this month
- this year
- the next 5–10 years
Longer term and actions linked to key events such as proposed new developments; planned infrastructure upgrades; loss of land or assets to coastal change; time frames for Coastal Change Adaptation Plans, Local Place Plans, Local Resilience Partnerships
In developing the action plan, it is useful to set out:
- What can we do as a community
- Where to work with others such as local authorities or land owners
When creating an adaptation action plan, it helps to think about:
- how adaptation measures can help achieve other community objectives such as amenity, wellbeing, nature restoration, local economy
